One of the biggest advantages of HeliService in competition with other helicopter operators, but also in comparison to vessel operators, is the size of HeliService’s own state-of-the-art helicopter fleet. HeliService is the first offshore airline to rely on the extremely powerful Leonardo AW169 helicopters, and one of the first companies relying on the AW139. In close cooperation of more than 30 years, Leonardo and HeliService have optimized these two extraordinary helicopter types for offshore operations. Depending on the intended use, the models are assigned different tasks. The more maneuverable smaller Leonardo AW169 is mainly used for highly efficient hositing. The larger Leonardo AW139 is primarily used for service platform approaches and the exchange of entire crews.
